We have a great mix of HR professionals from different sectors and backgrounds, which makes this a truly diverse group, who will have the opportunity to meet quarterly! (although, I know many of us from the Hertfordshire group meet up regularly outside of these dates!) :)
We welcome Twenty Twenty Law, who will be presenting 'HR MOT - 5 Essential Checks', which will cover important areas such as:
- Status post Autoclenz - how to be engaging
- Agency Workers Regs - 5 days to go! Are you ready?
- A Stable Foundation - a fresh look at contracts & handbooks
- Avoiding Discrimination Claims - all things being equal
- Power to Vary - don’t let the power corrupt you
Twenty Twenty Law will also be joined by Linda Goldman who is a Barrister (Henderson Chambers) & Tribunal Judge.
The team at Twenty Twenty Law have been consistently top-ranked for advising employers in the leading guides to the UK legal profession for a number of years and we are extremely pleased to have them as a sponsor of Corporate and Cocktails and welcome them into the group.
You can find further info regarding Twenty Twenty Law at www.twentytwentylaw.co.uk
Our welcome cocktail is entitled 'Twenty Twenty' which has been specially designed for our sponsor, which is a vibrant blend of Midori, Amaretto and Cranberry Juice.
There will be the opportunity to network with fellow HR professionals for the remainder of the evening, over a variety of other fantastic cocktails, including:
Mojito - A Cubano classic! Bacardi Superior, crushed with fresh mint, limes and brown sugar, served long over crushed ice. (Move over - this is my favourite!)
Cucumber & Elderflower Crush (non-alcoholic) - Fresh cucumber and mint with elderflower cordial, apple juice and lemonade – the essence of the British summer (or what's left of it)
English Country Garden - Fresh cucumber, mint and lime with Hendricks gin, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur and apple juice – drink with your pinky up!
To mix things up a little further towards the end of the evening,10 lucky group members will be chosen at random and will get to go behind the bar to create their own delicious cocktail, led by one of The Living Room's expert mixologists, courtesy of Twenty Twenty Law!
We also welcome back DGS IFA Ltd who sponsored our Hertfordshire event in July and presented on the Changes to Pension Regulations, around auto-enrolment and The National Employment Savings Trust (NEST). They have been assisting other members since the last event and will be in attendance to answer any questions you have on this topic, as well as employee benefits schemes and workplace financial advice programmes.
Glo Wellbeing will also be returning, following their attendance at our Hertfordshire event. Glo is dedicated to helping your business stay healthy and more productive - via a range of mobile wellbeing therapies delivered to your workplace, including on site massage and stress management. For interested parties, you may receive an on-site massage as a treat on the night!
Check them out at: www.glo-wellbeing.co.uk
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank The Orchid Group for providing us with the venue, staffing and nibbles, the venue staff themselves and of course my co-cordinator and friend Nina Marshall - who continues to play a key role in making these events a success!
Look forward to seeing everyone there. Remember you have to be registered onto the event and also be a member of the Linkedin group in order to attend.
