Our group is run via our Corporate & Cocktails LinkedIn Group, where individuals can 'opt out' of being a member at anytime. All members will have requested to join and would have been approved by our site administrator.
We do not currently operate a mailing list for marketing purposes and all communication is run out of the LinkedIn Group. We are able to send a group announcement to the whole group, once a week.
However, we may from time to time email previous delegates (from past events) via our event software 'Eventbrite' of our up and coming HR events.
Corporate and Cocktails may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time.
What we collect
Members are informed about up and coming events via the LinkedIn Group and are given a link to 'Eventbrite' and a password to register for up and coming events.
We may collect the following information on registration via Eventbrite:
- name and job title
- contact information including email address, telephone number
- company name
- demographic information such as postcode, company size, preferences and interests
- other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers
We have a number of approved suppliers who offer special rates and discounted services to Corporate & Cocktails. At registration you will be given the option of signing up to these offers. If you sign-up to these offers (via a drop down option), you are giving permission for Corporate & Cocktails to provide these suppliers with your information (Name, Job Title, Company Name, Phone Number, Email address) and any company demographic i.e company size, how many in your HR team. This is so that the supplier can make contact with you, as per your request. It is the delegates responsibility to then check these suppliers' privacy policies.
What we do with the information we gather
We require information about you on registration of events to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
- Internal record keeping
- We may use the information to improve our products and services
- We may periodically send promotional emails about up and coming events, using the email address which you have provided.
- We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.
Our events are sponsored by companies who will either hold the event at their premises or we will use an external venue. Sponsoring companies are responsible for providing delegate badges. We therefore provide sponsors (for each event) with the delegate details, which only include Name, Job Title and Company. This is for badges and also your name could be given to the security team if we are holding the event at a company premises. This is for internal security purposes.
Your personal information is not moved or transferred to any other system/database and is held in 'Eventbrite' within the relevant event you have registered to attend.
