Part of our success is that our member base is separated between HR professionals and HR suppliers. We were created by HR people and are run by HR people. So we get it!
We now have 2,000 HR members in our LinkedIn group, who are just HR professionals and not suppliers. Other than freelance HR consultants of course! Can other groups say the same?
You can look at other HR groups who may have a higher number of members, but when you look a little deeper, check out who are actually in the group - sales people! If we just let anyone into our group, we'd probably be around 5,000 by now.
We understand that it's important that as HR professionals we engage and learn from HR suppliers. That's why we have a separate HR supplier option. We have a set quota per event and ensure those suppliers who attend are vetted to ensure they understand the C&C relaxed and 'no sales' ethos. It's about building meaningful connections, through engaging conversations. But ultimately having the right balance at our events.
Therefore, you know when you come to a Corporate & Cocktail event you will be interacting with true HR professionals and a couple of amazing suppliers, who can add value and pass on knowledge.
So it really is the age old adage of quality over quantity in our group and at our events.
