'Tell a Tale – The power of stories in employee engagement'
Fighting for talent is hard enough, but then you’ve got to keep it once you’ve got it. Engaging our people has always required businesses to think differently and act creatively. If we wish to succeed in our endeavours then we need to get to the heart of employee brand engagement: the why? Why does someone want to work for us, why do they stay, what sets us apart?
This session will look at the art (and science) of storytelling as a key ingredient in engaging and attracting talent, covering:
- what are stories and why should you be using them
- what’s happening in our brains when we hear stories – the findings from neuroscience
- how to use the brand storytelling to improve employee engagement and attracting talent
Speaker: Simon Arrowsmith
Simon is a creative consultant and facilitator with over 20 years experience in learning, development and the arts. He founded and runs Grow the People with his partner. He also consults with businesses on creativity, development and engagement initiatives.
Simon’s experience ranges from strategic learning and development, large scale curriculum design and development, organizational culture and individual business story development, one-to-one performance development in behaviour, storytelling, personal brand and creative thinking, and group facilitation in a number of different industry sectors.
